In a series of tweets, the former Vice President said the he was taking a stand with the people of Osun State as well as with the Senator in both good and critical times, even as Adeleke had lost the case.
He further went on to stress that even with the final judgement by the Supreme Court, the acceptance  and the love that the Senator and the PDP got from the people of Osun State could not be in anyway overlooked and that so, it was not really over for them.
He went on to say that it would be a huge mistake for anyone to write off Senator Adeleke and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State as the judgement would only serve to further boost the love of the party and Senator Adeleke in the hearts of Osun people.
He also said that the Adeleke family had brought a consistent development to the Osun State overtime and that it will eventually translate to leadership which was only being delayed at the moment. It was the hope of the people that this would have happened now according to Atiku.
Atiku further reiterated that he was standing with Senator Adeleke at this time and that he wished him well in his future endeavours while telling the people of Osun State that the PDP will never abandon them no matter what the situation may be.
The Presidential Candidate of the PDP in the 2019 polls then ended his statement by advising the Judiciary to take a pause and make a deep reflection on the pulse of the nation as it currently stands. This was as he reminded them that God had placed a huge responsibility with them and that they must always ensure that they serve justice irrespective of pressure they might receive to act in a different manner by powers that be.
